Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Medical Coder specializing in Interventional Radiology (IR) / Interventional Vascular Radiology (IVR) to join our team in Egmore, Chennai. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in medical coding and will be responsible for ensuring accurate coding for IR/IVR procedures to support optimal reimbursement and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze clinical documentation to ensure accurate coding of procedures and diagnoses for IR/IVR services.
• Assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems related to Interventional Radiology and Interventional Vascular Radiology.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior coders and staff on coding procedures and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of Human Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Experience coding complex vascular and non-vascular Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures as per coding and payer guidelines.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is an added advantage.
• Experience in denial analysis, coding quality reviews, and internal/external coding audits.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Salary: Will be matched according to previous salary and experience
