As a Senior Materials Management Manager here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the success of the materials management process and team. Your primary objectives will include optimizing supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to support our production schedules. You will use your leadership and management skills, deep understanding of inventory management systems and a strategic approach to sourcing and procurement.

Your strategic oversight ensures a streamlined and efficient supply chain, minimizing costs and maximizing resource utilization. Your ability to optimize inventory levels and establish effective procurement strategies directly impacts the company's bottom line by reducing operational expenses and ensuring a constant flow of materials for production. Your proactive approach to materials management contributes significantly to meeting production deadlines, enhancing overall business resilience and customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will impact the overall supply chain performance by improving forecast accuracy, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of products to meet customer expectations. Your leadership in demand, supply and material planning will contribute to enhanced overall business resilience, customer satisfaction, reduced costs, and increased operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to ensure synchronized planning across the organization.
  • Establish and strengthen a robust Management Operating System (MOS) to monitor regional demand, orders, and backlog, in close collaboration with regional leaders, sourcing & logistics teams, and factory leads.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive materials management strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Optimize regional delivery performance and enhance end-to-end processes in partnership with ISC.
  • Lead demand planning, supply planning, and production planning teams to develop and execute reliable forecasting and supply strategies.
  • Align demand forecasts with production and inventory plans through close collaboration with sales, operations, and finance.
  • Present demand/supply plans, identified risks, and mitigation strategies to business leadership in regular review meetings.
  • Oversee inventory levels to minimize excess and obsolete stock while securing uninterrupted material flow for production.
  • Manage logistics and distribution processes, coordinating with carriers to optimize delivery schedules.
  • Implement strong digital governance to improve key delivery KPIs including lead time, promise dates, re-promises, inventory levels (ISC and affiliates), and days of supply (DOS).
    • Identify opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and tools.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 6+ years of experience in materials management, procurement, and logistics, with a track record of success in optimizing supply chain processes.
  • 6+ years of experience managing, motivating, and guiding a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in materials management software and ERP systems.
  • 6+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or related supply chain functions.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing planning teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with planning tools such as RapidResponse, SAP APO, or Forecast Pro.
  • Experience in driving SIOP/S&OP processes and collaborating cross-functionally.

  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with SAP ERP systems and advanced planning tools.
  • Certification in supply chain management (APICS, CPIM, CPSM, or CPF) is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
