Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify and qualify potential new customers
- Segment customers cohorts and create GTM strategy based on customer requirements in these cohorts
- Develop and execute a lead generation plan to reach out to potential new and existing customers
- Build relationships with key decision-makers at potential new and existing customers
- Understand the needs of customers and tailor sales pitch accordingly
- Work with sales team to develop a customer wise sales plan and plan of action for new and existing customers
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data related to sales and support the inventory planning team with aggregate projections across customers
- Negotiate and close sales contracts with new and existing customers
- Track and report on sales performance.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders in supply chain to resolve any OTIF/ service issues.
- Assist in developing and implementing sales procedures, and best practices.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to improve inventory planning processes.
Who can apply:
- Masters degree from a premier institute preferably in sales, marketing or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a business development role
- Proficiency in making sales pitch, consultative selling and driving leads to conversion
- Knowledge of steel industry products and best practices in sales
- Willingness to travel across the region for customer visits
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with MS excel, sales plan creation and reporting
- Flexibility in switching from strategic to tactical and operational levels of thinking and working, specifically in strategy deployment
- Must have tolerance for a complex, ever-changing and dynamic work environment
- Ability to demonstrate good decision making in ambiguous circumstances
- Participate in strategic projects along with BU leadership
