Job Description

As a Senior Manager / Sr. Network Architect, you will lead the design, implementation, and support of complex data center network infrastructures leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, and OpenStack Neutron. You will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions across multiple data centers, driving innovation through software-defined networking (SDN), automation, and cloud integration.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Design

  • Architect and lead end-to-end data center network solutions using Cisco ACI, VMware NSX, and OpenStack Neutron.
  • Design scalable SDN-based infrastructure with Spine-Leaf architecture and VXLAN-EVPN overlays.
  • Develop best-practice network architecture models aligned with industry standards and emerging trends.
  • Evaluate and select new technologies, tools, and services to enhance network capabilities.

Implementation & Operations

  • Plan, deploy, and manage data center networks including Nexus 2K/5K/7K/9K platforms.
  • Implement and troubleshoot ACI components (Tenants, VRFs, BDs, APIC, L2Out/L3Out).
  • Integrate ACI with VMM domains and L4-L7 services including firewalls and load balancers.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting across DC Switching, Cloud Services, and Compute environments.

SDN & Virtualization Expertise

  • Deep working knowledge of virtualized networking platforms: VMware NSX, OpenStack Neutron.
  • Experience with routing protocols: MP-BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
  • Hands-on experience with ACI multi-pod and multi-site architectures.
  • Functional knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for ACI deployments.

Security & Load Balancing

  • Expertise in firewall technologies: FortiGate, Palo Alto.
  • In-depth understanding of F5 and AVI load balancers, including custom VIP configurations and deployments.
  • Strong knowledge of L4-L7 services and integration with SDN platforms.

Automation & Documentation

  • Experience with network automation using Python, Ruby, or tools like Ansible.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including architecture diagrams, technical designs, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of deployed systems and documentation.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and architects.
  • Drive project execution across multiple data centers, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Collaborate effectively with OEMs, vendors, partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Handle escalations, perform RCA, and ensure resolution of critical incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in data center networking and SDN.
  • Certifications: CCNP/CCIE Data Center, VMware VCP-NV (mandatory).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and packet-level debugging skills (Wireshark, etc.).
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:


  • Experience in scripting and automation (Python, Ruby).
  • Exposure to cloud and virtualization technologies.
  • Ability to create technical presentations, architecture documents, and project plans.
