Job Purpose
To oversee and manage the
shipping and logistics operations for export consignments, ensuring
timely dispatch, documentation accuracy, cost efficiency, and compliance with international trade norms and buyer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end export shipping process from order confirmation to final delivery.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of export documents (Invoice, Packing List, BL, COO, Form A, etc.).
- Liaise with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters for booking, container planning, and shipment tracking. Negotiate logistics contracts and monitor service quality and performance of vendors.
- Ensure compliance with export regulations, LC terms , and buyer documentation requirements.
- Ensure compliance with customs, DGFT, export-import policies, and EDI procedures .
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs and export compliance norms.
- Plan container utilization and coordinate with the production and warehouse teams for dispatch readiness.
- Maintain strong coordination with internal departments production, merchandising, accounts, and quality.
- Maintain MIS on shipping performance, freight cost analysis, and delivery timelines.
