Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Senior Legal Counsel to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have
experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal documents, including customer and vendor agreements.
Knowledge of space law and statutory compliance is a strong advantage. This role will also involve handling due diligence, ensuring
legal compliance, and assisting with secretarial activities.
Responsibilities
- Drafting and Vetting of Agreements:
- Draft and review customer agreements (experience in the space sector is highly advantageous).
- Draft and vet vendor agreements, including those related to procurement, logistics, and services.
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs):
- Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs with external stakeholders.
- Space Law Expertise:
- Understand and interpret space laws, working closely with space authorities to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with various statutory requirements, including but not limited to:
Factories Act
Environmental Acts
Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization (PESO) Labour Laws
Information Technology Laws
Data Protection Laws
- Oversee timely filing of statutory returns.
- Due Diligence:
- Conduct and manage legal due diligence for various business transactions.
- Experience in handling Equity and Debt fund raising transactions, Shareholder Agreements, Share Subscription Agreements
and Financing Agreements.
- Drive implementation of Compliance management tool for the Company.
- Interaction with Central and State Governments for policy driving and implementation in Space and other laws
- Secretarial Support:
- Assist with company secretarial duties and ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements.

Additional Information
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent). A Master's degree in Law (LLM) would be an added advantage.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in legal drafting and compliance. Experience in the space sector is a plus.
Skills
- Strong understanding of contract law and statutory compliance.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with space law, environmental regulations, and labour laws is desirable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
