Job Purpose
The Sr. Manager - Corporate Program oversees the credit approval and underwriting process, ensuring thorough evaluation and compliance with credit policies for corporate clients. This role involves leading a team of credit approvers, managing vendor relations, and analysing financials to support business development and mitigate risks. The position also includes extensive travel to maintain high-quality portfolios and ensure adherence to regulatory and reporting standards. Additionally, the role focuses on training and enhancing team performance to drive efficiency and business growth.
Main Accountabilities
Credit Approval and Underwriting:
. Collaborate with business teams to facilitate and manage the credit approval process for the designated region.
. Prepare the credit note comprising of the detailed transaction structuring/ assessment with a focus on the assessment part of the sought credit facility
. Authorize and document deviations in strict adherence to established credit policies.
. Conclude the review of credit memos prepared by underwriters, providing approval or decline signoffs after verifying documentation requirements.
. Approve disbursement requests based on compliance with stipulated requirements and full documentation attainment at the branch level.
. Analysis of key financials of corporates prior to onboarding for new programs
Undertake analysis of program structures from a risk perspective
. Interaction with Corporates to understand structure and opportunity.
. Facilitation of Program notes to onboard new corporates
. Seek timely approval from requisite authorities.
Vendor and External Relations:
. Oversee and proactively engage external vendors to expedite query resolution, report submission, and mitigate process-related delays.
. Collaborate with the recoveries team, leveraging insights to generate business strategies.
Team Leadership and Development:
. Lead and manage a team of credit approvers, ensuring portfolio quality and managing delinquencies.
. Participate in the development, implementation, review, and monitoring of various credit programs. Provide training and coaching to continually enhance team competence and improve processing efficiency within the HUB.Business
Development and Compliance:
. Extensively travel to oversee branches within the designated region. Foster business development, provide guidance to the team, and ensure the maintenance of a high-quality portfolio.
. Ensure strict compliance with all audit, regulatory, process, policy, and reporting standards as per the company's designed systems
Qualification: MBA/PGDBA/PGPM/ CA or Equivalent
