Sr IT Project Manager based in Pune

The Sr IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering IT projects and programs that support the organization's strategic objectives. This role involves managing project teams, coordinating resources, and ensuring successful implementation of technological solutions within defined timelines and budgets. The position requires a blend of technical acumen, leadership capabilities, and strong business communication skills..

What will you be doing

  • Lead IT projects and programs from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and standards.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Supervise and mentor project team members to foster skill development and high performance.
  • Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies. (10 %)
  • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including business units, IT, and external vendors.
  • Report on project status, prepare presentations, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with organizational policies and industry regulations.

What will you need to be successful


Success in the role will require a combination of technical knowledge, soft skills, and a deep understanding of both the business and service-providing sides of an organization. Successful candidates would need the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience managing IT projects or programs (IT infrastructure related, M&A), preferably in an international or cross-functional environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Scrum, Prince2).
