Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Manager/Sr. IT Manager to lead and manage our IT infrastructure and operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in Windows and Linux server administration, network design and implementation, and ITSM practices. The candidate will also demonstrate proven leadership skills, the ability to manage a team, and a passion for problem-solving. This role requires a hands-on approach, a proactive attitude and a commitment to ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, including operating system installation, configuration, patching, troubleshooting, performance monitoring and fine-tuning.
  • Manage and administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows Server services.
  • Manage and administer Linux Server environments, including package management, user management, security hardening, troubleshooting, performance monitoring and fine-tuning.
  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points and VPNs.
  • Implement and maintain network security best practices, including intrusion detection and prevention systems.
  • Monitor network performance and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Monitor network traffic, system logs to identify potential security threats.
  • Manage and maintain data backups and disaster recovery plans.
  • Oversee and manage IT operations.
  • Manage and maintain O365 and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure and AWS)

Team Leadership & Management:


  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of IT professionals.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Manage team workloads and priorities, ensuring efficient task completion.
  • Promote a collaborative and positive team environment.

IT Service Management (ITSM):


  • Implement and maintain ITSM best practices, including incident management, problem management, change management, and configuration management.
  • Develop and maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Manage and monitor IT service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Continuously improve IT service delivery processes.

Problem Solving & Troubleshooting:


  • Effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to servers, networks, and applications.
  • Identify and implement solutions to improve system performance, security, and reliability.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.

Strategic Planning & Budgeting:


  • Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Participate in IT budget planning and management.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions.

Vendor Management:


  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure vendor performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications :


  • Minimum of 8-10 years of overall experience in the IT Infrastructure Operations. At least 3-5 years of experience in a Lead/Manager or higher position in a reputed IT company.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Linux server administration, including command-line tools, shell scripting, and system monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls and VPNs.
  • Experience with network design, implementation, and administration.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience with ITSM frameworks and practices (e.g., ITIL).
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. Leadership & Management Skills:
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills Plus Skills & Certifications:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Architect).
  • Network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) & ITIL certification
