Who We Are Looking For
The
Sr. Audit Associate will support the Internal Audit function in assessing internal controls and reviewing accounting transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting. As an Internal Auditor, you will assist in the execution of operational, financial, compliance, and process audits. Specific focus will include Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. This individual will be part of a small but growing internal audit function within the organization and will be an advocate for a strong internal control environment while supporting the organization's financial and operational objectives.
What You Will Do
Typical responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Organize and complete work within established time frames under the direction of an audit supervisor.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of internal control documentation, including risk-control matrices, and process narratives.
- Use of AuditBoard application for audit assessment workpaper management
- Customize and maintain dashboards, reports, and templates in AuditBoard
- Monitor data integrity and compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks and internal policies.
- Establish automated workflows for the use of data analytics to evaluate data integrity and internal controls.
- Test transactions and key report configuration for completeness and accuracy
- Establish strong working relationships with management and internal audit stakeholders, while maintaining professionalism and independence
- Interact with the Company's independent accounting firm in connection with the annual audit of financial statements in accordance with GAAP supporting ICOFR opinion.
What You Will Need
- BA/BS Accounting or Business Analytics, Computer Science degree required
- 3+ years experience with Big4 Accounting firm (PwC, EY, Deloitte or KPMG) or large multi-national public company in similar audit capacity.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced changing environment
- Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred
- Experience with AuditBoard preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- CPA, CMA, CISA, CIA or similar certification a plus
