Role Objective:
Design and furnish institutional interiors, focusing on practical, aesthetic, and interactive
environments that enhance learning experiences and support teachers and students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Understanding Client Requirements
Understand project goals, budget, preferences, and functional needs.
Guide space planning, layout, equipment, and colour schemes.
2. Conceptualisation & Design
Develop concepts aligned with client requirements and standards.
Create learning spaces that promote creativity and collaboration.
3. Design Approval
Ensure drawings meet quality standards.
Manage client approval and final sign-offs.
4. Site Supervision
Oversee on-site design implementation and progress.
5. Project Follow-ups
Coordinate with vendors, clients, and consultants.
Track drawing stages and ensure design feasibility.
6. Documentation
Maintain design and site documentation as per standards.
7. Pricing & Product Knowledge
Stay updated on building norms, materials, and costing.
Estimate material requirements and assist in vendor coordination.
8. Detailing
Ensure high-quality detailing for architectural and interior elements.
9. Coordination
Work with architects, engineers, designers, and consultants.
10. Communication
Provide regular updates to the Project Coordinator.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
B.Arch (COA recognised)
Bachelor's in Interior Design
Technical Skills:
MS Office Suite
AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp
(Preferred) Revit, 3DS Max
Other Skills:
Strong visualisation and creativity
Team collaboration and communication skills
Experience:
912+ years in institutional, commercial, residential, hospitality, or retail projects.
