Sr Frontend Engineer - React Native

Job Purpose

To lead and contribute to the engineering efforts for mobile app development, starting with a mobile banking application. The goal is to deliver a best-in-class user experience for customers by leveraging modern mobile technologies.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of work within a cross-functional squad.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Develop mobile banking applications using React Native, and/or native technologies (Android/iOS) while meeting quality and delivery timelines.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure coding best practices and maintain high standards of quality.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code to support future enhancements and maintenance.
• Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in mobile development technologies.
• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned components and features.

Key Actionables

• Plan and track work using Jira; lead daily stand-ups, manage sprint tasks, and resolve blockers.
• Collaborate with the product and design teams to build secure, high-quality user stories.
• Ensure unit testing is completed thoroughly to maintain code reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers and help them grow technically.
• Own solutioning for complex features and mobile user journeys.
• Implement designs to match mockups with pixel-perfect precision, including animations and transitions where required.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in React Native (minimum 7+ years).
• Native development expertise on Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift/Objective-C).
• Proven ability to design and deliver complex mobile app experiences.
• Experience leading teams in a Lead or Principal Engineer capacity.
• Ability to transform UI/UX mockups into functional, responsive mobile screens.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, security best practices, and performance optimization.

Educational Qualifications

• B.Tech in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred.
• However, demonstrated expertise in mobile app development and leadership will take precedence over formal educational credentials.
