Sr. Firmware Engineer
THE ROLE:
We are looking for a Senior Firmware Development Engineer with an obsession for software automation and infrastructure coupled with exposure to firmware. As part of the role, this engineer will work closely with other firmware engineers, software developers and architects across various IPs in designing and implementing firmware & automation for it that impact AMD AI products.
THE PERSON:
You are passionate about software development with creative and effective problem-solving skills, a motivated, self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively in fast paced environments. You have excellent technical communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Design, develop, and support DCGPU cluster automation, firmware and infrastructure solutions.
. Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure seamless integration of internal infrastructure features.
. Proficiency in C, C++ programming languages.
. Experience in developing enterprise-level software architecture that is capable of providing highly customized and optimized solutions.
. Ability to troubleshoot system-level issues with hand-on system debug.
experience on bare-metal, cloud environments, extending beyond software stack to hardware interactions.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
. 7+ years work experience focused on any of one following domains. Firmware/Operating System/System Design.
. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for code deployment in a production environment.
. Experience with MCU or embedded software will be an asset. Strong C and OS experience
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
. Bachelor's or master's degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
