Job Description

Position: SR. Executive Vendor Development

Location: Gurgaon (Head Office)

Experience Required: 5+ Years

Qualification: B.Tech / BE preferably Mechanical / Production Engineering

Department: Supply Chain / Vendor Development

Technology Exposure: Injection Molding, PVC Extrusion, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Casting, Tooling & Fixture Development

Compensation: 12 -15 LPA

Job Summary

The Sr. Executive Vendor Development will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing strategic suppliers, leading new product development (NPD), and ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards. The role demands strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling design, and cross-functional coordination to drive product launches, supplier performance, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination with CDI and SCM teams for all NPD activities.
  • Prioritize new product developments based on business needs and risk.
  • Ensure new products meet regulatory, quality, and sustainability standards.
  • Define success metrics and drive continuous improvements in NPD.
  • Act as SME for manufacturing processes like injection molding, extrusion, sheet metal, and casting.
  • Review and approve tooling, molds, and fixtures to ensure accuracy and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve development and supply issues quickly.
  • Conduct cost negotiations, finalize pricing, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Create dashboards to track NPD progress and development timelines.
  • Maintain trackers for all new and alternate vendor/product developments.
  • Coordinate product configuration and development requirements with CDI/SCM.
  • Prioritize and fast-track critical developments with CDI.
  • Ensure timely closure of NPRs (New Product Requests).
  • Act as the SCM SPOC for all new product launches.
  • Coordinate with CDI to ensure on-time product launches.
  • Monitor new product performance until the pilot lot is validated.

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, extrusion, casting, sheet metal).

Hands-on experience with tooling, mold design review, and process validation.

Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.

Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple developments simultaneously.

Good analytical skills for tracking dashboards, cost analysis, and data interpretation.

Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience in manufacturing-based industries preferred.
