Sr Executive - Content Marketing

Role Overview

We are looking for a Video Strategist who can discover powerful learner stories and turn them into impactful testimonial videos that strengthen Simplilearn's brand and influence conversions. You will manage the full testimonial pipelineidentifying alumni, conducting interviews, crafting narratives, coordinating production, and distributing video assets across digital channels.

This role is ideal for candidates with strong communication, interviewing, and storytelling skillswhether gained through journalism, radio jockeying/hosting, brand promotions, student engagement, relationship management, or content/video marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end learner testimonial workflow: prospecting, outreach, interviews, approvals, production coordination, and post-launch tracking.
  • Identify high-potential Simplilearn alumni (especially in the US market) and capture their career transformation journeys in text and video.
  • Conduct engaging interviews and guide learners comfortably on camera to bring out authentic, compelling stories.
  • Craft structured narratives, scripts, hooks, and concepts for testimonial videos.
  • Collaborate with content, social media, and video production teams on storyboards, shot lists, timelines, and formats (short-form/long-form).
  • Coordinate with internal or external video teams to ensure timely, high-quality output.
  • Publish and distribute testimonial videos across key channels: website, landing pages, YouTube, social, CRM, sales enablement, and paid campaigns.
  • Work with growth, paid media, and CRM teams to integrate testimonials into marketing funnels.
  • Track asset performance (views, engagement, CTR, leads, CPL) and recommend optimisations.
  • Maintain an organised repository of testimonial assets and metadata for cross-team reuse.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to guide natural, engaging conversations.
  • Strong storytelling and interviewing abilities; able to identify narrative angles and structure learner journeys effectively.
  • Experience writing scripts, articles, profiles, or feature stories.
  • Ability to simplify complex information and present it in an engaging, conversational format.
  • Skilled at coordinating between multiple stakeholders across teams and geographies.
  • Strong follow-up, scheduling, and coordination skills to move stories through the pipeline efficiently.
  • Empathy-driven communicationable to understand the learner's journey, emotions, and motivations.
  • Ability to collaborate with designers, editors, and video producers.
  • Strong organisational skills for managing calendars, interviews, shoots, approvals, and production timelines.
  • High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Comfortable interacting with learners/customers across time zones, especially US audiences.
  • Metrics-aware mindset; comfortable reviewing content performance data to drive improvements.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience managing small-format shoots or basic recording setups
  • Experience creating content for social platforms (Reels, Shorts, YouTube) or working with creators

Experience & Educational Background

  • 2 years of experience in content creation, journalism, radio/podcasting, brand promotions, student engagement, customer-facing roles, community management, or video-led marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, media, journalism, marketing, or any discipline with relevant practical experience.
