The team you will be a part of
The Material Management team is responsible for inventory audits and maintaining inventory at optimum levels. Develops procedures to enhance the effectiveness of inventory control programs. Coordinates with relevant departments to schedule, audit, and reconcile periodic physical inventories. Oversees incoming shipments of merchandise to ensure that inventory is accurate, updated and provided according to schedules.
This Role In Summary
To plan and execute strategy for import of raw material
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Imports Management
Handle imported raw materials and local plastic parts used in cabinets and liner in refrigerators
Check and resolve issues related to raw material handling or scheduling at supplier end
Manage the import of processes like shipment booking, customs clearance. LC process.
Execute the monthly plan for Buyer management (Managing logistics for internal parts used for making refrigerator)
Recommend to higher management for inputs on transportation and logistics and hold independent decisions for local suppliers
Material availability
Ensure timely delivery of raw material
Forecast and ensure adequate availability of raw material
Monitor, schedule and plan issues related to manpower, machine or material
Forecast and schedule future orders as per the forecast plan released by Planning department
WCM ( Word Class Manufacturing)
Maintain and manage critical spares
Maintain an online checklist for WCM adherence
Inventory Management
Plan the budget for inventory control and do adjustment with changing plan
Environment, Health, Safety and Quality Issues
Inform the concerned authority and the reporting manager about any issues and concerns detected.
Accountable for any complaints registered with self regarding the same, if any.
Networking
External
- Maintain healthy relations with suppliers/vendors through regular interactions
Internal
- Coordinate with Production, Quality and Procurement teams to expand the knowledge base and business support
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred diploma in Import and Export purchases
Experience - 4 to 6 years
Preferred Skills And Experiences

- Knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge of company products and processes
- Communication and decision making skills
- Supply chain related skills
- Shipping line, customs and LC related skills.
