Job Description

  • Qualify new Procedure Qualification Record as per ASME Sec. IX, PD5500, EN 15614-1, IBR standards, Client specification etc.
  • To prepare WPS, PQR & weld plan as per the job requirement & get the approval of the documents from client / TPI and make available to Manufacturing.
  • Welder / Welding Operator performance qualification, documentation & certification.
  • Welder training by providing welding and material technical support and guidance.
  • Carry out weld defect analysis and prepare CAPA.
  • Carry out welding consumables estimation as per drawing & specification and raise indent for the same.
  • Prepare Technical Purchase Specification for all welding consumables.
  • Carry out incoming inspection of welding consumables as per code & TPS.
  • Responsible for Intergranular Corrosion Testing, Chemical Analysis, Microstructure examination of welding along with compilation of reports.
  • Carry out spot check of welding to verify compliance of Welding Procedure Specification.
  • Calibration of all welding related instruments, which are used in plant.
