Job Description

Title: Engineering Project Lead Kitchen & Bath Products

Basic Function:

Lead and deliver engineering projects ensuring on-time and quality output by applying engineering expertise and coordination with global cross-functional teams to design and develop Kitchen & Bath (KB) products.

Specific Responsibilities:

Product Design & Development

  • Determine technical feasibility of existing product modifications and new product concepts
  • Utilize CAD expertise for executing concept layouts and component-level designs with understanding of system/sub-system integration
  • Translate customer needs into engineering specifications in coordination with the Industrial Design team
  • Follow product development process deliverables to ensure successful launch
  • Coordinate work with designers, technical writers, and engineering technicians

Documentation & Technical Deliverables

  • Responsible for BOMs, Product Compliance Documentation, Engineering Drawings, QTPs, VTPs, TRIBs, and BRFS
  • Ensure robust engineering design using DFMEA and CAE tools
  • Apply GDT, tolerance stack-up, and DFMAS principles for feasibility and manufacturability

Customer Focus & Process Adherence

  • Continuously seek deep understanding of customer and installer needs
  • Use data and logical analysis to make informed decisions; take calculated risks
  • Maintain project documentation and prepare technical/cost reports
  • Align with development and project teams to define project scope and timeline
  • Stay updated on technologies and trends relevant to the KB domain

Collaboration & Team Support

  • Communicate project progress and seek support from project teams
  • Contribute innovative ideas to design and development
  • Fluent in Windchill PLM, ERP systems (preferably SAP)
  • Prioritize and allocate multiple projects with coordination from the business unit and manager
  • Support execution and problem-solving with a proactive approach
  • Guide junior associates and trainees in documentation and processes
  • Ensure adherence to processes and document new practices as required
  • Participate in process updates and provide input when needed
  • Demonstrate and apply Kohler core competencies
