Job Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to design, implement, and enhance Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions to strengthen the organization's security posture and reduce risk associated with privileged access. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in driving strategic initiatives, improving platform stability, and enabling secure access across enterprise systems. This role will require deep technical expertise in PAM technologies, collaboration across infrastructure and application teams, and the ability to translate security requirements into scalable solutions. You will also mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of PAM processes and controls.
Roles & Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of PAM solutions (e.g., CyberArk, Delinea, Segura etc.)
- Drive onboarding and lifecycle management of privileged accounts, including vaulting, rotation, and access controls
- Develop and enhance automation for password management, account provisioning, and access workflows
- Partner with application, infrastructure, and security teams to integrate PAM controls across platforms (Windows, Linux, Cloud)
- Troubleshoot complex issues and ensure high availability and performance of PAM systems
- Define and enforce PAM policies, standards, and best practices aligned with security and compliance requirements
- Contribute to audit readiness by ensuring proper controls, logging, and reporting are in place
- Identify opportunities to reduce PAM footprint and optimize licensing/usage through cleanup and rationalization efforts
- Lead upgrades, patching, and security remediation for PAM platforms
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the team
Years Of Experience
- 5 years of experience in Information Security experience (or combination of Information Security and Application Development)
- Experience in a large, complex omni-channel or e-commerce organization is strongly preferred.
Education Qualification & Certifications
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field)
- Master's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of hands-on experience in Privileged Access Management engineering and operations.
- Experience with one / multiple PAM technologies such as CyberArk, Delinea (Thycotic/Secret Server), Segura, or equivalent platforms.
- Proven experience with both self-hosted and cloud/SaaS PAM implementations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, authentication, network connectivity, and PAM platform components.
- Hands-on experience with custom connector development and/or API integrations.
- Strong scripting and automation capability in PowerShell and shell scripting (Bash).
- Working knowledge of Windows/Linux administration fundamentals, AD/LDAP concepts, and networking basics (DNS, certificates, ports, proxies, TLS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with session management and recording (PSM-like components), privileged elevation concepts, and just-in-time access models.
- Certifications related to relevant PAM tool Experience Ex: Defender, Sentry (CyberArk)
- Familiarity with IAM integrations (SSO, SAML/OIDC), MFA, and PAM policy governance.
- Exposure to DevOps enablement for PAM (API-based onboarding, secrets management patterns, CI/CD integration).
- Understanding of security/compliance frameworks (SOX, PCI, ISO 27001) and audit support processes.
- Experience with ITSM workflows and tools (e.g., Remedy, ServiceNow), SIEM integrations, and monitoring (Splunk, ELK, Grafana, etc.).
