BASIC FUNCTION
Provide Engineering Design support to business units by applying best practices in BIM content development for Kohler Co. and its products. Managing projects individually as well as in a team environment by ensuring timeline and quality requirements meeting the set standards and quality norms.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and analyze project request through proper channel, and estimate the scope, timelines and any other specific requirements.
- Should be able to plan and come up with solutions on project requirements in discussions with the BU and the manager.
Product Knowledge, CAD and other software tools
- Should be able produce parametric Revit families.
- Maintain follow Revit standards and QMS
- Should be expert in the BIM Revit for content development and basic BIM modeling
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Should be able plan and execute the requests as per the set priorities
- Should be able to track and analyze quality issues and work proactively to minimize
- Train and develop the new resources in the team
- Should be knowledgeable about various Kohler products and related nomenclatures
- Should have basic knowledge of product functions and general assembly logics
- Should be knowledgeable about basic Architectural layouts using Revit
- Should drive the QMS to make sure consistent quality output in time
- He should be able to work with data management system
- He should be able to work on Adept data management systems.
- In case of multiple projects on-hand, prioritize the projects with close coordination with the business unit.
- Should be able to prioritize and come up with suggestions on prioritization and resource allocation in discussions with the BU and the manager.
- Execute/allocate the project requests by meeting the business unit requirements in respect to scope, timeline and specifics.
- Work in coordination with reporting manager to execute and complete the project from start to end by ensuring timeline and quality.
- Should be able to provide and seek solutions to resolve technical as well as non-technical issues that may affect the project with a proactive approach.
- Keep manager updated on all project related issues, concerns and achievements and seek his support whenever required.
- Should be able to work and handle multiple projects efficiently.
- Provide and implement corrective actions and preventive measures regarding quality and timelines for the projects and maintain proper documentation.
- Provide value added suggestions for design improvements and cost reductions wherever applicable.
- Should be able to handle complex projects under the guidance of the manager.
- Generate and manage daily time logs and related reports.
- Gather and compile monthly and weekly reports.
- Analyze the reports and provide inputs for improvements.
- Update manager on any red flags that might pop up while analyzing the reports.
- Ensure that the team provides the required inputs for the reports on time.
- Assist/guide in training on project/processes to junior level associates/trainees including project logs.
- Ensure all set process are followed with allowed deviation from the business units and develop as well as document new processes and design practices as per business needs
- Should be conversant with most of the set process
- Should follow process thoroughly and also insist other to do the same.
- Should be able to give suggestions regarding process improvements or developing new process for improving efficiency.
- Work closely with managers/colleagues to understand the changes and new processes that have been developed and give inputs whenever required.
- Ensure all Kohler core competencies are well understood and practiced. Keep informed of the latest developments in the field of technology with respect to the job requirements.
- He should be research orientated and eager to identify and learn new technologies and trends.
- Present and propose new business case to the Manager.
- He should be aware of the new projects coming in the market and new technologies used by the competitors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Master of Engineering degree with minimum 3 years of relevant experience or
- Bachelor of Engineering degree with minimum 6 years of relevant experience
