Sr. Electrician

• Electrical System Installation Maintenance : Perform installation, wiring, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems.
• Compliance Standards : Ensure all electrical work complies with industry standards, codes, and client specifications .
• Shutdown Operations : Assist in electrical maintenance, repairs, and inspections during shutdown periods.
• Team Collaboration : Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and technical staff to execute maintenance and repair tasks.
• Safety Risk Management : Identify electrical hazards , follow safety procedures , and comply with PPE usage .
• Technical Troubleshooting : Diagnose faults in switchgear, transformers, battery chargers, UPS, VFDs, and other electrical systems .
• Cabling Termination : Perform glanding, lugging, termination, and dressing of power and control cables up to 400 mm .
• Equipment Handling : Operate hand tools such as crimping, cutting, grinding, and drilling machines .
• Temporary Power Supply : Provide temporary electrical connections for hand tools and equipment.
• Lighting Maintenance : Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial lighting systems .
• Documentation Reporting : Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and electrical work performed .

Required Qualifications

Education :

• ITI in Electrical Trade from an AICTE-recognized institute , with 5+ years of industrial experience in reputed Oil Gas, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer plants .
• Non-ITI candidates (minimum Class 10 pass) with 10+ years of industrial experience in electrical jobs in reputed Oil Gas, Petrochemical, or Fertilizer plants are also eligible.

Experience :

• Work experience in similar shutdown activities is mandatory .
• Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Bengali , with the ability to write technical reports in English .
• Candidates must submit biodata with experience certificates for HPL approval.

Technical Skills :

• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, manuals, SOPs, and safety instructions .
• Hands-on experience in electrical material selection, tools, tackles, and measuring instruments .
• Expertise in switchgear, transformers, UPS, VFD, battery chargers, and electrical panels .
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical failures and system malfunctions .
• Knowledge of hazardous electrical equipment and area classification in petrochemical complexes.
• Physically capable of working at heights and in confined spaces .
• Conversant with ISO standards and quality control requirements .
• Proficiency in MS Word Excel .
