Job Title- IND Vice President

Required education and certifications essential for the role-

MBA / PG in Insurance, Finance or Risk Management preferred.

Professional insurance credentials such as Licentiate/Associate/Fellow of III, ACII, or a comparable certification will be an added advantage.

Valid IRDAI broker's license credentials as necessary for the position (where applicable).

Typically, candidates have 8-12 years of relevant experience in insurance broking or corporate insurance. At least [X] years should be in a client-facing, account management role.

General description of role:

As a senior individual contributor, this role focuses on managing key client relationships under their supervision. Responsibilities include establishing and managing insured benefits, hitting revenue goals, working closely with clients and partners, and delivering services on time with assistance from internal teams as necessary. The insured benefits mainly cover Group Medical (Inpatient and Outpatient), Group Accident, Group Life, Travel/Expatriate benefits, and Wellbeing programs. Additional insured benefit plans may also be included.

Job responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with HR, Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, Finance, and senior collaborators. Lead discussions from a Human Capital perspective. Increase engagement with target clients and prospects.
  • Responsible for achieving the given revenue target with the assigned team. Also responsible for building, mentoring, and developing their capabilities. They complete the laid down strategy for the assigned business portfolio.
  • Lead annual benefit planning and renewal discussions, stewardship evaluations, and mid-year performance assessments with high value clients.
  • Actively communicate market trends, benchmarking insights, and regulatory developments impacting employee benefits in India.
  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned corporate EB clients. Guide annual benefit strategy and renewal meetings, stewardship reviews, and mid-year performance discussions with clients either independently or alongside other client managers.
  • Proactively communicate market trends, benchmarking insights, and regulatory developments impacting benefits in India.
  • Manage the client relationship managers team assigned (if any) within the location and carry out all associated responsibilities including optimal hiring and people management responsibilities.
  • Supervise the full delivery of services by the team for clients in line with established standards.
  • Conduct internal audits like client audits to ensure a constant state of preparation by the teams.
  • Provide input and support to Regional Leader and Practice Head in strategizing overall service plan for the region and help complete the same.

Skills/competencies required:

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of the benefits insurance market operations in India.
  • Holding an IRDAI licentiate certificate or another insurance-related professional qualification will be considered a plus. IRDAI broking certification is necessary depending on the role and organizational requirements.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships at an operational level with clients and insurers.
  • Must hold a Broker Qualified License.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills capable of explaining complex EB concepts to non-technical collaborators.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint applied to claims analysis, financial modeling, and client presentations.
  • Analytical approach with attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets (claims, census, utilization reports).

Important metrics:

  • Client retention and revenue growth for EB portfolio assigned.
  • Improvement in program performance including impact on cost trends, claims ratios, and benefit design efficiency.
  • Client satisfaction scores and feedback from HR/Rewards leadership.
  • Quality and timeliness of renewals, implementations, and problem resolution.
  • Contribution to team capability building and guideline sharing.
  • Senior level CXO collaborator engagement.
