Sr. Developer II (Java) - Platform Architecture & Dev-Ops
Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Sr Developer to support our core platform architecture, modernization, and platform engineering strategy of our global enterprise ecosystem. This role is responsible for defining and governing the technical architecture of enterprise-grade applications built on:
. Java / Spring Boot, MS SQL Server, UI frameworks, API-driven integrations
. DevOps-enabled delivery pipelines
You will act as the technical authority and strategic subject matter expert for our application platform across Manufacturing, Enterprise, Quality and Sales/CRM. The role demands strong architectural expertise and DevOps orientation, database understanding, and the ability to guide team on software engineering standards.
Responsibilities Include:
- Strong analytical, logical skills and application development skills Java, Spring boot, JSP, JDBC, J2EE, Spring, and UI Dev (HTML, CSS, JS)
- Participate in the discussions covering architectural principles, security best practices, and integration for application.
- Analyze the solution options and provide suggestions for the technical approach
- Application Architecture (Java / Spring Boot), Understand & support development of application as per design & architecture, including development of modularized services using Java / Spring Boot
- Define API standards (REST conventions, versioning, security models)
- Enforce clean architecture principles, and domain-driven design where applicable
- Guide performance optimization strategies (JVM tuning, thread pools, connection pools)
- Support enterprise data architecture strategy on MS SQL Server
- Support responsive, mobile-friendly design practices, Standardize API consumption patterns from UI
- Define CI/CD architecture and deployment strategy, Drive Automated build pipelines, Code quality gates, Security scans (SAST/DAST)
- Define monitoring, logging, and observability standards
Qualifications:
The following are for the role
- Minimum 9-12 years of enterprise application experience with excellent core Java and J2EE skills coupled with expertise in Object Oriented design and knowledge of design patterns, Webservices/APIS (REST/SOAP)
- Hands-on technical skills of the technology stack including Java, JSP, Spring boot, SQL/RDBMS, UI technologies, JS, CSS, HTML and Tomcat server
- Strong experience in - Distributed systems, High-availability architecture, App Performance, Secure application design
- Result-driven with a positive attitude - adaptable, flexible, and resourceful.
- Hands-on experience of min 3-5 java application development as Java Full Stack, deployment, hosting and application design
- Hands-on DevOps experience with CI/CD implementation
- Experience in global enterprise transformation programs
