Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Key Skills & Responsibility
- Should have advanced knowledge of AutoCAD (2D/3D) and SolidWorks.
- Experience in preparing pipeline drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) with the assistance of SolidWorks models.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD in the fabrication of pressure vessels and related equipment is preferred.
- Preparing assembly drawings, subassembly drawings, component drawings and pipeline drawings.
- Designing, drafting and detail engineering of equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, and heat exchangers.
- Storage tanks as per ASME / API / TEMA & PED; preparation of mechanical data sheets.
- Ensuring that designs of equipment are cost-effective and efficient.
- Checking and reviewing BOMs and fabrication drawings.
- Engineering coordination with other divisions and clients.
- Preparing or reviewing the Bill of Materials for assigned projects.
- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies/tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Preparing plant layout models in SolidWorks and generating BOMs from those models.
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
- Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
