Job Description

  • Work on foam creation including A & B solid modeling
  • Ensure adherence to foam design guidelines and manufacturing feasibility
  • Create foam and component drawings
  • Execute 2D/3D CAD tasks in CATIA following best-practice methodologies
  • Download and review data from PLM+, Teamcenter, FTP for adequacy
  • Follow Magna Seating and customer-specific processes, standards, and quality/delivery targets
  • Understand customer requirements, clarify inputs, and execute tasks accordingly
  • Design and develop seat components (complete seat, foams, trim) as directed
  • Perform studies for IDRs, CCDRs, and CDRs meetings
  • Conduct complete seat packaging studies using kinematics/motion files
  • Perform regulatory and complete seat studies (AIS, ECE, FMVSS)
  • Create engineering component and complete seat drawings, including layouts
  • Work flexibly with other BUs and multi-CAD environments as required
  • Adhere to departmental processes and checklists
  • Resolve queries with project leads and customers
  • Deliver CAD data and documentation clearly via PDM (Teamcenter), FTP, PLM+, or presentations
  • Support team members with timely delivery and assist leads in quality checking
  • Maintain timesheets regularly in SAP
