Responsible for the design process of vehicle related components and modules from concept to production.
Ensures technical rigor for all projects assigned (Specifications, DFMEA, DVP, APQP, and Technical Design Reviews).
Perform project related assignments and work directly with all functions of the organization to ensure project success with respect to Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Transform market requirements into system, subsystem and component requirements.
Leads cross functional team to create DFMEAs and DVPs (Design Validation Plans)
Utilize PTC Creo to design & develop mechanical components, subsystems and systems Create and release component and assembly drawings using GD&T when appropriate
Collaborates with manufacturing engineers to ensure Design For Manufacture (DFM) and to incorporate designs into manufacturing processes.
Works closely with suppliers to develop electric powertrain components and subsystems that meet specifications.
B E in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field of study with min 10 years of experience.
Demonstrated expertise in product & assembly design for different manufacturing processes
Demonstrated use and experience with CAD software; PTC Creo preferred
Detailed understanding of advanced mechanical engineering principles.
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
Experience working in a vehicle-related business preferred.
