Main Purpose:
- The Data Management role is responsible for the end-to-end governance, quality, availability, and lifecycle management of Clean Energy data across exploration, drilling, production, monitoring, and environmental domains.
- The role ensures that Clean Energy -related data is accurate, secure, standardized, and readily available to support operational decisions, regulatory compliance, and long-term knowledge retention.
Job Accountabilities:
- Define and enforce data governance frameworks for Clean Energy projects.
- Establish data standards, naming conventions, metadata models, and version control for subsurface and operational datasets.
- Ensure compliance with organizational, regulatory, and statutory data retention policies.
- Manage ingestion of Clean Energy data from multiple sources including geological & geophysical studies, drilling & well data, process & production monitoring data, and environmental & safety monitoring data.
- Integrate structured and unstructured data into centralized repositories or data platforms.
- Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and reconciliation processes.
- Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and anomalies and coordinate corrective actions with domain teams.
- Maintain audit trails and data lineage for critical datasets.
- Administer and support Clean Energy -related data systems, databases, and subsurface applications.
- Coordinate with IT teams on storage, backup, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
- Support interoperability between Clean Energy data systems and enterprise platforms (GIS, subsurface modeling tools, analytics platforms).
- Enable availability of high-quality data for reservoir and process modeling, operational performance analysis, risk and safety assessments, and environmental impact studies.
- Collaborate with engineers, geologists, and data scientists to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Ensure role-based access control and data confidentiality.
- Support audits related to data security, regulatory compliance, and environmental reporting.
- Ensure adherence to ISO / industry best practices for information management.
- Act as the single point of contact for Clean Energy data-related matters.
- Coordinate with subsurface, drilling, production, environment, IT, and external vendors.
Skills Required:
- Expertise in Data Governance & Standards.
- Proficiency in data acquisition and integration from diverse sources.
- Strong skills in data quality checks, validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience in systems and tools management for Clean Energy data systems.
- Ability to support analytics and decision-making processes.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards for data management.
- Excellent stakeholder coordination and communication skills.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, preferably within the Clean Energy or related industry sectors.
Preferred Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science /Chemical/Petroleum OR BSc in Geology.
