Role Overview
The Senior Process Automation Engineer will lead design, development, and deployment of innovative automation solutions as part of General Mills global digital transformation initiative. Reporting to the Manager of the Process Automation Talent Acceleration Center (TAC), this role focuses on ServiceNow AppEngine, Automation Anywhere A360 RPA, Winshuttle for SAP, AI/ML, and Agentic AI to enhance operational efficiency and business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Development: Build end-to-end automation solutions, translate business requirements into workflows, develop custom modules, and lead technical problem resolution.
- ServiceNow Expertise: Develop low-code applications, configure workflows, forms, reports, and dashboards while ensuring governance compliance.
- AI/ML Integration: Embed ML models in workflows for intelligent routing, predictive analytics, and enhanced decision-making.
- Agentic AI: Implement AI agents, virtual assistants, and autonomous workflows to optimize processes and improve UX.
- Integration Development: Connect ServiceNow with ERP, GCP, SQL, and SaaS systems via secure REST APIs.
- Testing & QA: Conduct unit, integration, and UAT testing; resolve defects and performance issues.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Maintain technical documentation, support guides, and Talent Acceleration Center standards.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work with business stakeholders, participate in Agile ceremonies, and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements, research emerging automation technologies, and contribute to team best practices.
- Support & Troubleshooting: Monitor and maintain automation solutions, resolve incidents, and ensure workflow performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, including 4+ years in process automation.
- Expertise in ServiceNow AppEngine (low-code/no-code), client/server scripting, Flow Designer, portal development, REST APIs, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, JSON, XML.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems (ERP, GCP, SaaS).
- Knowledge of system architecture, version control, data security.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with other ServiceNow modules (CSM, ITSM, SAM, CMDB).
- Exposure to Agentic AI, Generative AI, Python AI libraries.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP/Azure/AWS), DevOps, MLOps, .NET/Python, databases, web technologies.
