Function Overview

The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. This collaborative approach ensures a well-coordinated supply chain that aligns with both organizational goals and dynamic market conditions.

Purpose of the role

The Supply Chain Adv. Analytics team is responsible for developing innovative solutions and advanced capabilities that enhance decision-making across the supply chain. This team collaborates closely with all supply chain functions-including planning, sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, and customer service-as well as business units and cross-functional partners to drive business value through data-driven insights. By leveraging advanced analytics, the team enables step-change improvements in business processes and operational efficiency.

In this role, Senior Consultant in Supply Chain Adv. Analytics leads the design, development, and delivery of complex analytical solutions to solve Supply Chain problems. This role requires translating ambiguous business challenges into actionable solutions, leveraging advanced analytical techniques and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. The Senior Consultant will mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team. They will also ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, adhering to robust project governance and documentation standards. Ultimately, this position drives data-driven decision-making to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Accountabilities

  • Requirement Gathering, Supply Chain Problem Solving & Stakeholder management:
    • Solve complex supply chain problems, identify opportunities, and recommend effective solutions leveraging subject matter expertise (SME). This includes conducting requirement gathering, project scoping, and aligning analytical solutions with business objectives.
    • Lead design reviews, provide feedback and conduct demo/training sessions with stakeholders. Effectively communicate project status and progress to all levels.
    • Partner with business and D&T teams to ensure smooth solution development and support, collaborating closely to build execution and prioritization plans.
  • Analysis, Solution and Delivery Management
    • Translate complex business problems into analytical/technical specifications, providing thought leadership on capability building, analytics techniques, and best practices.
    • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex and ambiguous projects, ensuring on-time & quality delivery.
    • Develop and present data-driven recommendations to improve efficiency and enhance decision-making.
  • Project Management and Governance
    • Proficient in Agile methodologies enabling task prioritization, accurate estimates, and daily objectives, alongside developing detailed project plans with timelines, resource allocation, and risk identification and mitigat ion strategies.
    • Implement and maintain robust project documentation, governance & solution frameworks/processes.
    • Effectively communicate project status and progress to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Coaching and Development
    • Supervise and mentor a team of Analysts and/or Consultants, providing guidance, coaching & feedback on the work, in relevant workstreams.
    • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives, driving efficiency and innovation within the analytics function under the guidance of the Analytics leadership organization.
    • Bring outside-in perspective to be up to date with latest trends in technology.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (Mandatory). Master's degree preferred
  • Experience:7+ years of experience in data development, analysis, or visualization, with demonstrated technical acumen.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in data ETL, SQL/BigQuery query writing, and visualization best practices.
    • Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Advanced Excel, Tableau, and SQL Server, and other relevant technologies.
    • Ability to analyse complex data sets, identify trends, and develop insightful recommendations.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively.
    • Foundational understanding of Supply Chain and related metrics / processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • 8+ years of related experience, w/ Supply Chain or CPG background.
  • Deep understanding of delivery management / consulting.
  • Major Area of Study: B.E., B.Tech.,
  • Professional Certifications: SQL, GCP, Tableau, Excel
