Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a Business Development Manager (B2B). The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, creating and executing strategic plans, and driving revenue growth. Daily tasks will include market research, client presentations, negotiating deals, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and developing strategic partnerships to expand business offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in the B2B market.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Present, demonstrate, and explain technical features of products and solutions to customers.
- Prepare and negotiate sales proposals, quotations, and contracts.
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Travel frequently to client locations, industry events, and trade exhibitions.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, and support) to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 5+ to 12 years of proven experience as a Business Development Executive or in a similar B2B sales role.
- Prior experience in machinery, automation, industrial equipment, or engineering solutions is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of industrial products and solution-based selling.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Highly self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable with frequent travel.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and propose tailored solutions.
