About The Job:
- Test Engineer is a vital role in the Agile delivery team. Successful delivery depends upon the ability to readily determine with confidence the quality of the deliverables and work produced by the team at any point in time. Quality is built in from the outset, validating the solution as early as possible and should regularly deliver proven value through accepted function. To be successful, a collaborative approach is required, with all testers working closely with other groups.
Essential Job Functions:
- Understanding of high-level requirements (functional and non-functional).
- Contribute to high-level test estimates if required.
- Estimate all test efforts (functional and non-functional).
- Contribute to the RAID log, Test Plan, and High-Level Plan.
- Derive test coverage requirements from the information provided.
- Create test design documentation including test cases and test scripts.
- Peer review test design documentation.
- Scripting and executing manual tests.
- Designing and developing automated tests.
- Prepare test data.
- Deploy development builds or releases to the test environment as required.
- Execute test cases and record results.
- Accurately and comprehensively record defects discovered during the execution of test cases.
- Triaging and retesting defects.
- Provide support and knowledge to other members of the team.
- Reporting on the quality of the product.
- Report issues and risks to the Delivery Lead/Test Lead.
- Provide test metrics or progress to Test Lead/Delivery Lead.
- Stakeholder engagement to support incremental acceptance.
- Producing Test Release Notes.
Qualifications:
Mandatory Skills
- Programming languages-JAVA
- Automation Testing and Tool - AWS,API Testing, Rest API Testing, Postman, Cucumber
- Databases Used-Postgres
- Version management-AWS Pipelines, Azure DevOps
- Build/Dependency Management /Reporting-Maven
- Good to Have - AWS certification
