Job Summary:
Siemens Energy is seeking an Automation Engineer to actively shape sustainable energy solutions in shipping, offshore platforms, and chemical complexes. This role involves working with automated systems from system engineering to commissioning, implementing interfaces, and delivering complete solutions for energy and propulsion systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work comprehensively with automated systems on offshore platforms, chemical plants, or utility facilities.
- Implement interfaces and deliver complete automation solutions.
- Perform Automation node / HMI programming using PCS7, WinCC, Step 7, and TIA Portal.
- Coordinate with Factory, System House, and Vendors for Automation Cabinet manufacturing, staging, and testing.
- Participate in DCS upgrade/migration projects (desirable).
- Travel to customer sites (domestic and international) for project commissioning and support.
- Work collaboratively with Siemens Energy global and regional teams.
Mandatory Skills:
- Hands-on experience with PCS7, WinCC, Step 7, and TIA Portal
- Automation node / HMI programming for at least 5 relevant projects in Oil & Gas, Marine, or similar sectors
- Offshore or industrial automation project experience
- Good communication skills in English (written and oral)
Preferred / Good to Have Skills:
- Experience with Nordic SOGO library
- DCS Upgrade / Migration experience
- Knowledge of C++, C#, VB Scripting
- Database management skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Automation Engineering
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Automation Engineering
- Proven track record in automation project execution and system commissioning
