About the Role
The Sr. Associate /Assistant Manager – Compliance & Secretarial will support the Compliance function in managing company secretarial activities, statutory compliances, and regulatory documentation. The role requires close coordination with internal & external stakeholders, committees, and various authorities to ensure smooth governance processes and adherence to applicable laws.
Responsibilities
A. Company Secretarial & Governance Support
- Assist in preparation and circulation of notices, agendas, and minutes for Board Meetings, Committee Meetings, and General Meetings.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and corporate documentation in compliance with the Companies Act, 2013.
- Support timely preparation and filing of regulatory returns and compliance documents.
- Draft routine filings, resolutions, and official correspondence.
- Assist in ensuring adherence to corporate governance standards and statutory requirements.
B. Policy & Documentation Support
- Assist in drafting and updating internal policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
- Support documentation and record management aligned with regulatory and audit requirements.
- Ensure policy and SOP adherence across all departments of the organisation.
C. Startup Support Orientation
- Demonstrate a strong service mindset with a willingness to support startup companies in compliance and governance matters, as required.
- Provide structured assistance in relevant compliance areas in alignment with organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Qualified Company Secretary
- LLB Graduate from a reputed university (preferred)
Required Skills
- 5+ years of relevant experience in company secretarial functions, corporate governance support, or compliance roles.
- Experience working with Section 8 companies or entities engaged in government correspondence will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with regulatory filings under the Companies Act, 2013.
- Strong knowledge of corporate laws, the Companies Act, 2013, and secretarial standards.
- High attention to detail in drafting, documentation, and statutory filings.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple deadlines.
- High integrity with a strong commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Strong written communication skills for drafting notices, agendas, minutes, and official correspondence.
- Clear and professional verbal communication skills for coordinating with committees, regulators, and stakeholders, along with strong overall communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with Section 8 companies or entities engaged in government correspondence will be an added advantage.
