Job Description

SR. ACCOUNTANT

(3-5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

Position Overview: As an Accountant in an event management firm, your primary responsibility will

be to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with

accounting principles and regulations. Monitoring the company's financial performance, preparing

financial reports, and providing financial insights to support decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Reporting:

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable,

payroll, and general ledger entries.

- Prepare and analyse financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.

- Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet

financial obligations.

Taxation and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.

- Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other relevant tax forms.

- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations and provide recommendations to ensure

compliance and minimize tax liabilities.

- Collaborate with external auditors and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and financial

audits.

- Implement and utilize accounting software and tools to streamline financial operations.

- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).

- Proven experience as an Accountant or a similar role, preferably in the event management

industry.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.

- Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Tally.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

-Strong and in-depth knowledge of GST, TDS, and auditing.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
