We are looking for a Senior Database Specialist with strong experience in MSSQL and Oracle database administration.
The Specialist should be an experienced IT professional with deep expertise in database administration, operating systems, scripting, and automation, combined with strong innovation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
The role involves managing databases across the full product lifecyclefrom development to mission-critical production systemsensuring high availability, scalability, performance, and security
Your tasks
- Managing SQL Server & Oracle databases across development, test, and production environments
- Installing, configuring, maintaining, backing up, and recovering MSSQL & Oracle databases
- Facilitating the creation and maintenance of SQL replicated architecture
- Performing database tuning, monitoring, performance optimization, and capacity planning
- Supporting SQL Server 2012/2016, including Analysis, Integration & Reporting Services
- Creating and managing MSSQL/Oracle clone environments
- Implementing and maintaining High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions
- Providing 2nd and 3rd level support for complex incidents and problems
- Writing and maintaining automation scripts to improve system efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Maintaining and improving disaster recovery concepts
- Applying vendor-provided patches and maintenance updates
- Ensuring completion of routine infrastructure maintenance in line with operational policies
Requirements
- Solid expertise in database administration, particularly MSSQL and Oracle
- Proven background working within Windows-based server environments
- Good understanding of Azure cloud infrastructure
- Well-developed troubleshooting capabilities and incident management experience
- Practical knowledge of performance tuning and database security best practices
- Hands-on involvement in replication as well as High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) configurations
- Ability to develop and use scripts for automation purposes
- Background supporting mission-critical production systems
- Familiarity with infrastructure capacity planning and performance optimization
- Knowledge of emerging database technologies
