About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team on a fully remote basis. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience working with Snowflake, cloud technologies, and modern data integration frameworks. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and models that support our advanced AI/ML analytics initiatives. The Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, ultimately contributing to enhancing customer experiences and driving revenue growth across our global restaurant operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud data solutions.
- Proficiency in Snowflake data platform and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with data programming languages, particularly Python and SQL.
- Experience building and managing scalable streaming data integration frameworks.
- Knowledge of open-source frameworks like PySpark, Kubernetes, and Airflow.
- Familiarity with SaaS tools such as Informatica Cloud, Domo, and Data Factory.
- Understanding of data lifecycle management, data quality, and data governance processes.
- Experience with serverless API development in cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer) are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines to support analytics and AI/ML projects.
- Create and maintain data integration frameworks utilizing modern open-source and SaaS tools.
- Implement real-time data streaming solutions using Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Pulsar.
- Build and manage cloud-based data platforms, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Develop and maintain production support processes for data quality, data lifecycle, and reporting.
- Automate deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Ensure compliance with data governance standards and best practices across all projects.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance data infrastructure.
