Role OverviewWe are hiring a Sports Psychologist to work directly with:
- competitive athletes (youth to elite)
- teams and high-performance setups
- coaches and support staff
This is a delivery-focused role, centred on:
- applied mental performance training
- competition readiness
- pressure handling
You will work within a structured coaching framework, while applying your professional judgement in athlete-specific contexts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Athlete-Focused Work- Conduct 1:1 mental performance sessions with athletes
- Address:
- performance anxiety
- confidence fluctuations
- overthinking in competition
- inability to reset after mistakes
- roots of limiting beliefs hampering growth
- Build:
- pre-performance routines
- in-game reset mechanisms
- focus and attention control
2. Competition Readiness- Prepare athletes for:
- high-pressure matches
- qualification scenarios
- tournament formats
- Work on:
- decision-making under pressure
- emotional stability during momentum swings
- self-regulation and coping mechanisms
- Support athletes in converting training readiness → match execution
3. Team & Ecosystem Work- Conduct group sessions / workshops for:
- teams
- coaches
- support staff
- Align mental performance work with:
- coaching strategy
- competition demands
4. Monitoring & Outcomes- Track athlete progress through:
- behavioural indicators
- performance consistency
- Adapt interventions based on:
- match feedback
- coach inputs
Work Structure- Full-time role
- Core hours: 9 hours a day but timings may vary based on athlete requirements.
- 5 days/week
Typical workload:
- 3-5 athlete sessions/day (mix of 1:1 + group)
- Remaining time:
- planning
- coordination with coaches
- documentation
Mode:
- Remote + travel for camps/tournaments (as required)
- Availability to work full-time (approximately 9 hours per day on working days)
- Willingness to travel for camps/tournaments
- Comfort working in high-performance, time-sensitive environments
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on training and competition schedules
- Practical understanding of competitive sport environments (not just academic exposure)
CompensationFixed salary (aligned with experience)

Clinical & Professional RequirementsMaster's degree in:
- Sports Psychology
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in:
- athlete environments
- performance psychology
Experience working with:
- competitive athletes / teams (preferred)

What This Role Is NOTThis role is not suitable if you:
- Prefer purely academic or research-oriented work
- Have no exposure to competitive sport environments
- Prefer unstructured or purely conversational approaches (talk therapy and counselling)
- Want a part-time / flexible engagement
- Unwilling to travel
