Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SPI Administrator with strong expertise in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) to support engineering and project teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting SPI databases and supporting instrumentation design and deliverables for Oil & Gas projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and manage SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) database and environment.
- Support instrumentation design teams with project configuration, database updates, and tool administration.
- Create, modify, and manage specs, catalogues, wiring modules, loop drawings, and deliverable formats within SPI.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with project and corporate standards.
- Coordinate SPI upgrades, patches, and system integrations when required.
- Develop and implement best practices, procedures, and workflows for efficient SPI usage.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for user issues.
- Manage project setup, customization, and reports within SPI.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
- Conduct user training and create documentation/user guides as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Instrumentation / Electrical / Engineering or relevant discipline.
- 715 years of professional experience in Oil & Gas / EPC projects.
- Hands-on experience in SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) administration is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation engineering deliverables (Loop Diagrams, I/O Lists, Wiring, Datasheets, etc.).
- Experience in database management, customization, and project configuration.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues related to SPI and provide timely resolution.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
