Role Definition:
To support our extensive growth plans worldwide, we are recruiting for Spend Analyst & Senior Spend Analysts to work on global spend and procurement analytics engagements.
Candidates must be strong in data analytics and familiar with IT systems and BI tools and be able to interpret data, create visualizations, draw conclusions and produce insight reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will work under the supervision of Spend Analytics Lead and Director to design and deliver data analytic products and services for Simfoni clients.
- Working as part of Simfoni's global analytics team you will have the opportunity work with a variety of clients where you will analyze data using Simfoni's proprietary Simfoni AnalyticsTM platform, where you will design dashboards and use business intelligence tools to cleanse, normalize and classify data in order to derive actionable insight.
- The role includes an element of frontline delivery where you will have the opportunity to interact with clients to support the extraction of relevant data, design dashboards and develop reports and insight from the analysis.

What You will do at Simfoni;
- Implement Simfoni Spend Analytics for global customers, including data onboarding, validation, transformation, and end-to-end delivery.
- Spend Data Classification & Categorization using standard and custom spend taxonomies (Category Tree/UNSPSC) to ensure high-accuracy categorization across direct and indirect spend.
- Data Normalization & Standardization, including supplier name normalization, parentchild mapping, duplicate checks, and enrichment to improve data quality and reporting accuracy.
- Build Data Visualization Dashboards using BI tools (Power BI preferred) to present spend patterns, KPIs, and insights in an intuitive and decision-ready format.
- Conduct Procurement & Performance Analysis, such as:
- Cycle time analysis
- One-time vendor analysis
- Price variance analysis
- KPI reporting and benchmarking
- Perform Savings Opportunity Identification through analysis of spend trends, consolidation opportunities, compliance gaps, and category-level insights.
- Support Cost & Process Optimization Assessments for customer procurement operations.
- Translate raw data into actionable insights that help customers improve procurement efficiency, reduce spend, and enhance compliance.
- Collaborate with internal and customer stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery, resolve data issues, and maintain high-quality standards.
Required Skills & Experience
We employ high-performing individuals with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Have relevant industry experience of 1-2 years.
- Strong experience in Spend Analytics, procurement data preparation, and data quality improvement.
- Hands-on expertise in classification, normalization, taxonomy mapping, and supplier hierarchy creation.
- Proficiency in Power BI or other BI tools for dashboard development and data storytelling.
- Understanding of procurement processes, sourcing levers, and performance KPIs.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and uncover insights related to savings, compliance, and efficiency.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with SQL/Python is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and insight presentation.
