Senior Specialist – Supply Base Development (KMH) Key Responsibilities
- Lead supplier selection and development for prototype and production parts in line with GSC and program requirements .
- Manage end‑to‑end sourcing lifecycle : RFQ, commercial negotiation, supplier nomination, and contract execution.
- Own sourcing activities from quotation through SOP and series production .
- Perform should‑cost analysis and drive cost optimization using sourcing and digital tools.
- Ensure supplier quality readiness by timely closure of APQP, PPAP, and Q‑documents .
- Obtain Sourcing Committee approvals and execute supplier agreements (e.g., S2MSA ).
- Track and manage cost changes across program lifecycle.
- Ensure integration of purchased parts into logistics concepts (packaging, transport, materials flow).
- Verify supplier capacity and tooling readiness for carry‑over parts and volume ramp‑ups.
- Integrate key suppliers into cross‑functional program teams to support smooth launches.
- Support SCM activities , including supplier performance monitoring and risk mitigation.
Qualifications
Senior Specialist – Supply Base Development (KMH) :Qualification & Experience
- 7–10 years of experience in automotive sourcing, supply base development, or program purchasing .
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Automobile Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Proven experience managing suppliers across new product development and series production .
- Exposure to global sourcing processes and cross‑functional program environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of RFQ, sourcing, contract negotiation , and supplier nomination processes.
