Job Description
Bristlecone India Limited is looking for a skilled professional to take on the role of Specialist - SAP-SAP GTS in the S4 HANA Functional - Delivery department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading the SAP S/4HANA GTS functional design, specifically owning Customs Management and Risk Management/Preferences, while aligning with the company's GTS Compliance and global trade strategy.
Responsibilities
- Lead the functional design and configuration of GTS Customs Management, including import/export declarations, customs brokers, and duty calculation logic.
- Ensure customs workflows accurately reflect aerospace-specific imports/exports, including bonded warehouse and duty deferment scenarios.
- Integrate GTS Customs with S/4HANA SD/MM/FI for seamless triggering of customs entries and financial postings.
- Work with customs brokers and external systems to define and support EDI/XML/PPF interfaces for customs declarations.
- Provide customs reporting and analytics using CDS views and embedded analytics.
- Design and configure GTS Risk Management & Preferences, ensuring compliance with FTA rules and origin rules.
- Apply preference-based duty reliefs while maintaining compliance with sanctions and export controls.
- Lead discussions with tax, trade compliance, and legal teams for FTA-based duty optimization.
- Act as the single GTS Lead for Customs and Risk Management, ensuring consistent design and integration.
- Provide onsite governance and support during key project phases at client locations in India and the US.
Qualifications
- 9-14 years of total SAP experience, with a focus on SAP GTS or S/4HANA GTS in manufacturing or aerospace industries.
- Strong hands-on experience in S/4HANA GTS Customs Management, including customs declarations and broker interfaces.
- Expertise in GTS Risk Management & Preferences, FTA rules, and supplier declaration workflows.
- Solid understanding of global customs regulations, duty optimization, and FTAs (USMCA, ASEAN, EU).
- Experience integrating GTS with S/4HANA SD/MM/FI and external customs/broker systems.
- Knowledge of GTS Compliance concepts to ensure alignment with screening, sanctions, and licenses.
- Proven experience in onsite delivery, leading workshops, and UAT at client sites in India and the US.
- Excellent English communication skills and strong stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
