Job Description
As an SAP Lead ABAP Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring a team of ABAP developers, ensuring efficient and effective technical development practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering SAP S/4HANA solutions, driving innovation, and ensuring alignment with business requirements. This role offers an opportunity to lead and shape technical strategies, collaborate closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders, and contribute to the success of SAP implementation, rollout, migration, and enhancement projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of ABAP developers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Drive technical development activities across SAP implementation, rollout, migration, and enhancement projects.
- Collaborate closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality SAP solutions.
- Ensure adherence to SAP S/4HANA technologies and best practices, promoting innovation and efficiency.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure high standards of ABAP development.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends, and promote continuous learning within the team.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing timely support and solutions.
- Document and maintain technical specifications, ensuring knowledge transfer and knowledge base updates.
- Act as a technical expert, providing guidance and support to other teams and stakeholders as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in ABAP development, with a strong track record of leading technical teams.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA technologies and best practices, including technical architecture and design.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team of developers.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with functional consultants and business stakeholders.
- Experience in managing and delivering SAP implementation, rollout, migration, and enhancement projects.
- Proficiency in ABAP development, including OOPs concepts, ABAP Core Data Services (CDS), and SAP Fiori.
- Familiarity with SAP HANA database and its integration with ABAP development.
- Knowledge of UI technologies such as SAPUI5 and Fiori is an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges.
