Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lectures, seminars, and hands-on training to medical students, residents, and fellows in PM&R.
  • Participate in curriculum development and integration of the latest advancements in the field.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to trainees during PM&R rotations.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with physical disabilities, musculoskeletal disorders, and neurological conditions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement comprehensive rehabilitation plans.
  • Engage in clinical rounds, case discussions, and support medical decision-making.
  • Participate in research activities: design studies, collect and analyze data, and interpret results.
  • Publish research findings in reputable medical journals and present at academic conferences.
  • Contribute to grant proposal development and funding applications.
  • Stay current with emerging treatment techniques, technologies, and clinical protocols in PM&R.
  • Uphold ethical standards and maintain a strong focus on patient safety.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives, quality improvement efforts, and policy development.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD) with board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
  • Clinical experience in PM&R practice.
  • Demonstrated interest and ability in medical education and teaching.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of research in PM&R.
  • Publications in recognized peer-reviewed medical journals.
  • Proficiency in medical research methodologies and data analysis tools.
  • Commitment to ethical medical practice and patient-centered care.
  • Active participation in professional organizations and academic networks.
  • Ongoing involvement in medical conferences and continuing education.
