Specialist - Optics Engineering
We are looking for highly qualified and enthusiast engineer with experience in designing and validating optics systems for medical devices.
Qualifications:- BE/ B.Tech/ MS or PhD in Optics, Opto-mechanics or related disciplines with overall experience of 8+ years
- Courses/ certifications in systems engineering and programming is preferred
Skills and Experience:- Optical system design using design tools (e.g. Zemax)
- Theoretical understanding of photometry, spectro-photometry and their related applications
- Experience with digital microscopy, illumination design and device calibration methodologies.
- Familiarity with range of optical components
- Familiarity with 3D CAD modelling design software (e.g. SolidWorks or NX) (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience with team leading
- Exposure to complete product-development lifecycle (prototype to production) involving the integration of optical sub-system within medical device.
Tasks and Responsibilities: Work both independently and collaboratively
Manage small engagements or parts of large engagements
Coordination and collaboration with cross-functional teams, on following aspects
- Mechanical, electrical and firmware design
- System-level validation
Meet project dead-lines for customer projects, with high quality deliverables
Prepare project reports and present the same to management/ customer
Prepare technical reports and papers for publication and conference talks
