Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Special Educator role based in Bengaluru East. The Special Educator will design and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) and specialized instruction for learners with diverse needs in middle school and related age groups. Responsibilities include assessing learner strengths and needs, adapting curriculum and classroom materials, and implementing evidence-based interventions aligned with organizational guidelines. The role involves collaborating closely with general education teachers, school leaders, therapists, and families to support inclusive classroom practices and smooth transitions across settings. The Special Educator will maintain accurate documentation, track learner progress, contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, and participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in Special Education.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Special Education, including experience working with learners with diverse disabilities and individualized support needs.
  • Demonstrated teaching skills, ideally in middle school or comparable age groups, with the ability to differentiate instruction and manage inclusive classrooms.
  • Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with learners, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with educators and support staff to design and implement inclusive, evidence-based interventions and classroom adaptations.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a closely related field, with relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations.
  • Experience developing and implementing IEPs, progress monitoring tools, and behavior or learning support plans.
  • Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered practice, cultural sensitivity, and maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Comfort using basic educational technology and digital tools to support instruction, documentation, and communication.
