Special Education Teacher

Roles & Responsibilities – Special Educator 

* Conduct developmental and educational assessments to identify learning needs

* Develop and implement individualized intervention plans (IEPs)

* Provide one-on-one or small group sessions to improve cognitive, academic, and social skills

* Use appropriate teaching strategies and activity-based learning methods

* Implement behavior management techniques and support positive behavior

* Collaborate with psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals

* Guide and train parents on home-based intervention strategies

* Maintain session records and monitor child progress regularly

* Modify intervention plans based on progress and clinical inputs

* Support school readiness and recommend necessary accommodations

* Coordinate with schools and other professionals for smooth transitions

* conduct structured group therapies with pre planned activities
