A reputed CBSE school in Dwarka, Delhi is seeking a compassionate and skilledSpecial Educatorto support students with diverse learning needs. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every child achieve their full potentialacademically, socially, and emotionally.

Role Overview:

The Special Educator will be responsible for planning and delivering individualised instructional programmes for students with special needs, including learning disabilities, developmental delays, behavioural challenges, and physical impairments. The focus will be on enabling meaningful progress through personalised support and collaborative intervention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess students abilities, learning needs, and challenges through formal and informal evaluations
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review Individualised Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Adapt lesson plans, teaching methods, and materials to meet individual student requirements
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction
  • Use specialised instructional strategies and assistive technologies
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, counsellors, and parents
  • Support students social, behavioural, and emotional development
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development programmes
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and special education regulations

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Graduate degree with B.Ed. in Special Education, or B.Ed. (General) + 12 year Diploma / PG Diploma in Special Education, or other RCI-approved qualifications
  • Minimum5 years of experienceworking in a school environment
  • Strong knowledge of various disabilities and appropriate intervention strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High levels of patience, empathy, and problem-solving ability

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working with children with special needs
  • Familiarity with behavioural management techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in creating adaptive learning materials
  • Basic knowledge of assistive technology tools
