Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time position based in Kochi for the role of Special Education Teacher. Responsibilities include designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), teaching students with diverse learning needs, and collaborating with parents, therapists, and educational staff to optimize student outcomes. The role will also include identifying and addressing special educational needs, fostering communication skills in students, and creating a supportive classroom environment that nurtures growth and learning for children with disabilities.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of disabilities and strategies to support diverse learning needs
- Experience in teaching, particularly at the middle school level
- Expertise in special education methodologies and designing IEPs
- Advanced communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual student needs
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
- Relevant certifications in special education or teaching (preferred)
