Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a South India Chef - (Commi I, Commi II and DCDP). The South India Chef will be responsible for preparing authentic South Indian cuisines with a focus on traditional recipes while incorporating innovative techniques. Daily tasks include menu planning, sourcing high-quality ingredients, ensuring food safety standards, and supervising the kitchen team. The role also involves collaborating with the management to develop seasonal menus and refine culinary offerings to enhance guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in authentic South Indian cooking techniques and recipes
  • Ability to manage kitchen staff and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and food safety
  • Strong knowledge of food presentation, portion control, and inventory management
  • Passion for culinary arts with the ability to innovate and incorporate modern culinary trends
  • Relevant culinary certification or degree preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Commitment to creating exceptional dining experiences for guests
