Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef, based in Goa, India. The Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen's daily operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative, and locally inspired cuisine. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, managing inventory and orders, developing new recipes, and ensuring the consistent presentation of dishes. Collaboration with the culinary team to create seasonal menus and exceptional dining experiences is a vital aspect of this role.

Qualifications
  • Experience in managing kitchen operations and leading a culinary team
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen regulations
  • Proficiency in menu development, recipe creation, and food presentation techniques
  • Ability to work under pressure, maintain high-quality standards, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to guide and motivate kitchen staff
  • Enthusiasm for innovating and incorporating local flavors into culinary offerings
  • Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a luxury or boutique hotel environment is an advantage
